Re-analysis on the Inscriptions of the ZengjiHu Vessel

本人在前人研究的基础上,进一步梳理了铭文的内容,由此认为此壶当为楚宣王为其已经过世的祖母所作的宗庙祭器,其后随考烈王迁都而被带至寿春一地,并与酓前、酓诸器一同埋葬在朱家集楚王墓之中。

Based on the previous scholarly discussion about the contents of the Zenjihu,the author suggests the donor of this piece of bronze should be attributed to King Xuan of the Chu state,who made thishu for his grand mother as a sacrificial offering. Thishu was then brought to Shuochun alongside the moving of the capital by King Kaolie. Eventually,this bronze was buried with other bronzes donated by the Chu King in the Chu mausoleum at Zhujiaji.
