冠状动脉内超声显像可以直接观察血管壁的动脉粥样硬化和其它病理改变 ,由于超声可以穿透血管表面 ,所以能清晰显示整个动脉管壁 ,包括全部斑块的厚度 ,从而可以获得动脉粥样硬化的诊断信息和观察不同介入治疗方法对斑块和动脉壁的影响。

Intracoronary ultrasound, a new technique, which provides a clinical method to directly visualize atherosclerosis and other pathologic conditions within the walls of blood vessels. Because ultrasound is able to penetrate below the luminal surface, the entire cross section of an artery including the complete thickness of a plaque can be imaged in real time, This provides the opportunity to gather new diagnostic information about the process of atherosclerosis and directly observe the effects of different interventions on the plaque and arterial wall. In this review, we discussed the role of intracoronary ultrasound in the interventional diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease.
