This paper expounded a transmission line tower risk warning system based on stress testing, the system used the sensor real- time monitoring the stress changes of the tower internal automatically, and used GPRS/GSM communication to realize the automatic alarm information upload. The system could monitor towers stress accurately and provide real-time monitoring data visually, this could help the department find hidden trouble as early as possible so that the staff could take appropriate measures in time to improve the reliability and security of the transmission line operation.
