The Developing Causes of Outstanding Graduates Based on the Panel Data of Five Best Universities

优秀研究生的成因研究关系着国家科研的未来,但随着研究生的不断增多,"优秀"的比例却在不断下降。针对优秀研究生的概念,构建培养能力、科研实力分别与校友捐款对优秀研究生指数的双对数面板模型。研究结果表明,优秀研究生成因的关键在于其自身努力及天赋。

The cause of outstanding graduate will influence future national scientific research. But with the increasing number of graduates, the proportion of ＂the excellent＂ is falling. Based on the concept of outstanding graduates, the double logarithmic panel model is built which includes ability cultivation, scientific research strength, respectively, and alumni donations to outstanding graduate index. The research shows that the key of being an outstanding graduate student lies in his/her own efforts and talent.
