Through analysis of faults of the bucket wheel stacker reclaimer ,this paper introduces the permanent magnet drive ,analyzes the structure of permanent magnetic coupling ,characteristics and advantages .The permanent magnet drive system used in reclaimer transmission system decreased failures rate significantly ,which is conducive to the production and the effect is remarkable .
