The concept of ＂Augenblick ＂ is an important idea in Benjamin ＇ s ＂On The Concept Of History＂ .As an ＂unit-idea＂ of Arthor Lovejoy＇ s sense, it has rich meanings.The first part of this essay deals with the dialectical and redemptive aspects of the concept of Augenblick, through which we can see clearly of how Benjamin uniquely uses these two; the second part would compare the concept of Augenblick with other philosophers＇ ideas of temporality. From this comparison, we can catch the disruption and inclusiveness of this concept.
