The Use of Polyester Stable Fibers Spin Pack and Abnormal Fibers Control

The configuration and functions of the spin pack were described in this paper. The formation of abnormal fibers was discussed. It was pointed out that the high impurity content in the melt, the high viscos- ity and low spinning temperature would lead to faster pressure buildup. The abnormal fibers, such as the spot fibers and the chunky fibers were related to the spin pack. In order to control the abnormal fibers, the exchange of spin pack, silicone surface treatment of spinneret, disassembly and assembly of the pack, stan- dardized cleaning procedures, microscopic inspection of spinneret and parts management were carried out.
