Linear position measurement and control methods in modern paper machines

In this article were mainly introduced the common solving methods to the typical measurement for linear position sensor and control calculation in wide width and high-speed paper machines, including lip opening of head box, corner roll positioning and fabric guide roll position. All the pictures and diagram were based on MetsoDNA machine control system, in which the tag symbol is only for explaining issue and not for aiming at specific machine instrument.
