净化的悲剧——试论《边城》

沈从文创作《边城》的意图不是再现人生,而是表现生命。他要从苦难的人生里提炼出生命的高贵与美丽,证明人性的善良,来营造他的"希腊小庙",向沦落的人类提供一个理想的圣所。沈从文净化了生活的悲剧,融进了自身孤独的人生情绪,赋予"边城"一种忧郁的基调,悲剧的旋律和纯美的风格,而悲剧的净化正是《边城》深刻性之所在。

Instead of reproducing life, SHEN Cong-wen intends to express it in his work Border Town, in which he tries to abstract the nobility and beauty of life from misery life to prove the kindness in humanity by creating his 'Little Greek Shrine', a holy place for a degenerate man. The author purifies the tragedy of life by mixing his own solitary emotion with a melancholy touch. The profundity of Border Town lies in its tragic melody, aesthetical style and the purification of tragedy.
