Research on British Religious Development in Medieval Age from the Viewpoint of Peace Studies

文章以中世纪不列颠宗教的发展情况为研究对象,从和平学角度解读其发展带来的正负方面的影响,认为宗教不能被单纯地归为文化和平或文化暴力,其性质会随着统治者和传教者的意志和描述甚至教徒的理解的改变而改变;并认为应从和平学角度分析不同宗教教派对和平构建者的和平文化建设、转化或消除暴力冲突、实现和平教育以及传播非暴力精神等有重要意义。

This paper analyzes the development of British religions in medieval age, and interprets its positive and negative impact from the perspective of peace studies. Religion can not be defined as cul- tural peace or conflict, its nature transforms with the consciousness and description of rulers, even the comprehension of followers. The analysis of different religions from the viewpoint of peace studies is of importance for peace constructors to construct peace culture, transform or remove conflict, imple- ment peace education and publicize the spirit of non-violence.
