摘要
简·里斯在小说《藻海无边》中透过多声部第一人称叙事对《简·爱》中的伯莎·梅森进行重新塑造,成功地为堙没在主流白人文化背后的第三世界女性发声。通观整部小说,伴随着安托瓦内特(以下简称安)自我意识的不断觉醒,其叙事权威也不断被建立和强化。在女性主义叙事理论关照下,厘清女主人公安作为叙述者在小说中叙事的权威化过程:由叙事完全靠"听",以及反常的省叙到通过完成听觉向视觉的转换,缩短叙述者和受述者之间的距离等手段建立了叙事话语的权威性。文章希望将叙事行为与叙事权威相结合,为该小说的研究增添新的视角。
In the novel Wide Sargasso Sea, Jean Ryth reshaped Bertha Mason in Jean Eyre through multiple voices of first-person narration and successfully articulated the voice of females from the third world who were buried and forgotten by the mainstream white culture. Throughout the novel, as the self-awareness of Antoinette gradually awakens, her narrative authority is also being constructed and strengthened. This paper intends to identify the process of her narrative authorization in the light of feminist narratology. That is from narrating by "listening" at the beginning to narrating by gazing and constructing the narrative authority at last by strategies such as shortening the distance between nar- rator and narratee, hoping to provide a new point of view to the research on this novel by combining narrating behavior and narrative authority.
