As a methodology of pragmatic analysis, Linguistic Adaptation Theory endows the research of language use with a new horizon of adaptability,dynamics, generation and complexity. It has introduced the ideas of Holism,Generativism and complex adaptive system into pragmatic analysis. This provides contemporary pragmatics with richer methodologies and broader research space.
