琉球使节眼中嘉庆初年的闽台世态风情——以《琉馆笔谈》为例

On Social Customs of Fujian and Taiwan during the Early 19th Century Viewed by the Envoy from the Ryukyu Kingdom:A Study Based on Ryukan Hittan

书写汉语进行笔谈,是东亚海域史上在汉字文化圈这一特殊文化共同体范畴内进行相互沟通的一种方式。明清时代在中、朝、越、琉等宗藩国之间留下这方面的文献资料不少。个中,嘉庆八年(1803)发生在赴日琉球使节杨文凤与江户萨摩藩石冢崔高之间的《琉馆笔谈》是一种比较特别的域外史料,其最大特色是交流内容多涉闽台社会世态风情的实地体验和感受,对了解十九世纪初闽台区域的社会情状,提供了某种独特的视角,具有一定的参照意义和史料价值。

Conversation by writing in Chinese is a method for mutual communication in the history of East Asia Seas within the special cultural community of Sinosphere. In Ming and Qing dynasties, quite a number of materials and docu- ments were left in East Asian countries such as China, Japan, North Korea, Vietnam and the Ryukyu Kingdom. Among those materials and documents, Ryukan Hittan, in the eighth year of Jiaqing Reign of Qing Dynasty （1803）, is a relatively special historical material, which records conversations between You Bunho, an envoy dispatched by the Ryukyu Kingdom to Japan, and Saiko Ishizuka from Satsuma Han of Edo Shogunate. It is featured by its content of on-site experience and feelings concerned with social customs of Fujian and Taiwan, which, providing a unique perspective for us to know about the social conditions of Fujian and Taiwan region in the early nineteenth century, is of certain reference significance and historical value.
