How to improve students＆#39; reading comprehension on academic literatures？It＆#39;s the most critical task for teachers in the curriculum of special English course for food quality and safety students .A con‐tinuous attempt and exploration in nine years＆#39; teaching experience had been conducted to refine teaching methods .The author has summarized these methods as three aspects ：guiding students to study academic vocabulary skillfully ,grasp thorough meaning of long sentences ,and grasp whole subject of literature . The author has also presented several conceives of teaching reform in the background of internationalization and advanced Internet information .
