Abstracts

This paper deduces the basic dimension of the sense of security of parents who have lost their only child fromthe theoretical dimension and the experience of field survey,explores the concrete situation of this parent group＇s senseof security from the dimensions of their family life,career life,and social life,and further concludes that the parentswho have lost their only child have completely lost their sense of security. Accordingly,this paper points out that the thor？ough restoration of these parents＇sense of security relies not only on their own initiatives,but also on both institutional？ized and non-institutionalized supports,specialized and unspecialized efforts,and organizational and non-organization？al assistances.
