The Battleground “Landscape” and the Treble Texts—— A Report about Qiu Dongping's Lost Book Marching Towards the Enemy's Rear Area

《向敌人的腹背进军》出版于1939年,为七月派作家丘东平生前出版的最后一部作品集。由于是新四军建军初期的军中出版物,当时流传不广,之后长期失传,埋没七十余年,原版全本迟至现在才得以发现。原书保存形态完好,体现新四军军中出版物特征。收录的8篇作品按部队进军过程排列,是新四军成军后挺进敌后的初期过程的原始记录,保存了新四军建军初期陈毅等领导人言论、部队作风、战区老百姓生活和精神风貌等重要史料。作为战地创作,"风景的发明"体现东平的创作特色和造境能力。书中所收《武装的政治工作队》等篇曾在期刊发表过,与书籍版对照,体现出复杂的"文本三重性",是抗战时期国共两党在书刊出版领域的博弈情况的写照,也是文学版本学研究的重要材料。

The novel of Marching Towards the Enemy＇s RearArea was published in 1939. It was the last book published before the author Qiu Dongping＇s death. Because appeared in the early times of the New Fourth Army, the book had not spread widely, and been lost for more than seventy year until be found. The original edition was found in good conditions, which can be considered as the typical publications of the New Fourth Army. There was no proem or postscript in the book, and it included 8 works, which is the original records of the New Fourth Army＇s onset that arrayed in the order of the march. It preserved the leader＇s oral expression of opinions, revealed the fighting style of the troops and showed the daily life and mental attitude of the ordinary people at that time. As a work wrote on the battleground, by laying out the ＂landscape invention＂, Qiu Dongping showed us the creation characteristics and his ability to construct the artistic conception. Several works of this book were published on journals before, but compared with the book version, it demonstrated the complexity of ＂the treble texts＂. Therefore, it was the important material of history and literature studies.
