In the public transit network optimization and adjustment process in metropolises, the travel habits of residents which are shaped over the years should be respected, the adjustment of bus network should be in a successive incremental way. The method proposed in this paper includes selecting unreasonable bus routes which should be adjusted, scoring and sorting priority sequence, finding out appropriate adjustment scheme line by line, assessing the improvement effect by using transport model. This method takes the easily operation of bus company or bus management departments into consideration and should be a feasible and practical method.
