This paper briefly describes the application of LINK axis function of Siemens 840 D NC system in large, extra large NC machine and mainly expatiated on the range of the machine, the hardware configuration of the system, usage operation methods. It also introduced in detail the parameter setting, PLC programming, and HMI display file editing method which involved in system debugging.
