In recent decades, urban rail transit of China entered the golden age of rapid development. Based on the study of urban rail transit of China, this paper predicts future trends of urban rail transit and the demand for talents .With the rapid urban rail transit industry development, the demand for applied talents of urban rail transit operation management is also growing. It should be a modest expansion of vocational education for urban rail transit operation management to meet the development of the industry and regional economy.
