吴惟康教授为龙江医派代表人物,其要求自己做学问要博采、兼容并蓄;要精审、深入研究;要有胆识、万不可臆断甚至误断。吴老强调在治学方面要善于＂博览大书,精读小书＂,博及医源,精勤不倦,方能由博通精、博而能识;在临证选方用药方面主张灵活变通,贵在能以一理,范围万变之病,以吾心变通一定之理。临证贵博、贵精、贵识。

Professor Wu Weikang is the representative of Heilongjiang Medical School, he asked himself to discover and make use of tile strong points of all others, to absorb everything and anything, to research profoundly, to have courage and insight rather than assumptions even misjudgment. In terms of doing scholarly research, a person should read classic books widely and monographs carefully with diligence so that he can constantly strive for perfection. In terms of choosing drugs and prescriptions, he advocated flexibility, using one principle to deal with many related diseases. In clinical practice, he thought that being well-informed, skilled and knowledgeable are extremely important.
