The vernacular novels from folk literature revealed the original flavor of folk customs .TaiJingnong ’ s The Son of Soil is an excellent representative of vernacular novels .The novel showed deep concern for farmers while itformed its own style of strong indignation .On the basis of study of the Son of Soil, the novel indicated the old farmer＆#39;s survival condition , discussed their unyielding humanity and their resistance spirit .
