This paper discusses the characteristics of the whole language teaching model of English and analyzes the differences between it and traditional language teaching model,expounds the necessity of adopting this kind of teaching mode in college English.At the same time,using this teaching mode can fully mobilize students＇learning enthusiasm,cultivating and training their comprehensive ability of using language by an example.
