The Transnational Love Story in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression

她是一名日本人，却义无反顾地投身到中国人民的抗战事业中。日本媒体骂她是“用流畅的日语，恶毒地对祖国作歪曲广播的娇声卖国贼和赤色败类”，周恩来却称赞她是“日本人民忠实的好女儿，中国人民的忠诚战友，真正的爱国主义者”。

Liu Ren,born in Benxi,went to Japan to further his study in1934,where he got to know Verda Majo,a progressive Japanese writer.They got married soon.In 1936,they came back to Shanghai,and took part in the campaign of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.On the outbreak of war,Verda Majo witnessed Japanese forces’ atrocity.At the end of June in 1938,Verda Majo joined the Kuomingtang Central Publicity Department in Wuhan,where she awakened the Japanese people and Japanese forces by broadcast in standard Japanese.A Tokyo newspaper cursed her as "Seductive Traitor" and "Red Scum".Premier Zhou Enlai praised her as a loyal daughter of Japanese people,a loyal comrade-in-arms of Chinese people and a true patriot.After the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,Liu Ren and his wife went to Jiamusi.Verda Majo got infected incidentally in an operation for abortion.Due to that,on Jan.10 th,1946,Verda Majo bid farewell to all forever,at the age of 35.Three months later,Liu Ren,at the age of38,followed the step of his wife due to the overwhelming grief.
