摘要
2015年是著名雕塑家、画家袁晓岑先生100周年诞辰。《万物为师——袁晓岑诞辰百年艺术展》在中国美术馆开幕,其创作于50年代初的雕塑《母女学文化》足以代表新中国雕塑创作水平。袁晓岑先生一生以"万物为师",虚怀若谷,德艺双馨,作"大地之子",塑绘相承,相得益彰。在长期艺术探索中谨遵徐悲鸿先生教诲,继承"外师造化,中得心源"的画理精髓,在艺术创作实践中循"六法"造型,吸收西方泥塑技法,将二者有机融合,为完成中国雕塑艺术的民族化问题做出卓越贡献,自成一家,影响深远。
2015 marked the centenary of Mr. YUAN Xiao- cen's birthday, a distinguished sculptor and painter. Thus, an exhibition named "Learn from All - An Art Exhibition on the Centenary of Mr. YUAN Xi- ao - ceng Birthday" was held at National Art Museum of China. Among the art works displayed, one of his masterpiece, " Mother and Daughter Studying Together" created in the early 1950s, is brilliant enough to represent Chinag highest sculpture level ever since the founding of New China. Holding "to learn from all" as his lifelong belief, Mr. YUAN Xiao - cen was a modest and accomplished master of art with good virtues; considering himself as "a son of the earth", YUAN Xiao - cen was good at both sculpture and painting. In the long course of artistic exploration, Mr. YUAN followed Mr. XU Bei- hong's teachings, including the core of painting philosophy - "guided by teacher, creating from heart", and in his creation, he abode by the Six Approaches in traditional Chinese paintings and at the same time absorbed western sculpture techniques and combined the Chinese and western sculpture techniques together; in this way, he made great contribution to the nationalization of Chinese sculpture art. Overall, YUAN occupies a unique position in Chinese sculpture art and still has great influence today.
