On the Historical Progress and Cultural Choice of Chinese Sports Modernization

伴随着我国现代化建设的全面推进,实现中国体育现代化是体育事业未来发展的必然趋势。然而体育现代化要经历一个较长的时间,中国体育现代化从洋务运动时期开始,经历了戊戌变法的基础阶段、五四运动后民族传统体育与西方近代体育摸索阶段、新中国成立初期后"文化大革命"的曲折阶段、十一届三中全会后全新发展阶段。在面对各种思想的交融、文化的冲突及不断争论中,中国体育现代化选择适合自身进程发展的文化,推动中国体育现代化的发展。

With the all-round promotion of Chinese modern construction, it is an inevitable trend to realize the Chinese sports modernization in the future development of sports career. However, it takes a long time to realize Chinese modernization. China＇s modernization started from the period of the Westernization Movement in the 19th century, through the foundation stage of the Reform Movement of （Wuxu） 1898, the exploratory stage of national traditional sports and Western modern sports after the May Fourth Movement, next after the founding of New China through the tortuous stage of the Cultural Revolution, then the new stage of development after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC. Confronted with the merge between different ideas, the cultural conflicts and continuous debates, Chinese sports modernization chooses the way that suits their own development and promotes the development of Chinese sports modernization.
