The applications of glass fiber and its composites in the construction sector are reviewed in respects of the traditional glass fiber markets, the new products increasingly coming into use and many high-end products still struggling hard for broader markets. The prospect of applications of these products in construction is predicted in light of opportunities and challenges in the period of the ＂new normal＂ and transformation, and opportunities brought by green buildings, building industrialization and traffic infrastructure. Finally, some proposals for developing applications in the construction sector are raised.
