Adapted from the hestselling novel, the film, One Flew over The Cuckoo's Nest, is a typical representative of the social and political movie in the seventies of America and it was awarded five Oscar Awards with its definite advantages in 1975. Based on the stories of psychopath, the film depicted vividly the morbid and depressed society where the ordinary were fettered to suffocate. Not only did the hero of the film, Macmurphy, presented truthfully the bewilderrnent, helpless- ness and anguish of the "beats", but also dwelt on the so-called "dominant culture" as well as the inhuman " mechanical so- ciety" bravely by means of his body and soul.
