Taking Majiazui river channel as example, the author probed into the analysis method of river channel evolution incorporating images from Google earth, information extraction combined with the graph editing function of AutoCAD, and historical topographical data of river channel. Major works include information extraction of river images from historical data and Google earth , comparison, analysis the rule of river channel evolution.
