The Study of the Reasons for GUO Xiangzheng's Obscure Fame and His Entrance into Bianjing for His Imperial Examinations at Four Times

元之后的郭祥正渐渐丧失诗坛上应有的地位,其诗歌也未能受到研究者应有的重视,究其原因,从社会角度看与当时文学思潮密不可分,从个人角度看则与其一生中两入试场、四入汴京的经历不无关系,故探讨其中过程是研究工作必不可少的环节。

After the period of Yuanyou （1086-1094） of the Song Dynasty, GUO Xiang-zheng （1035-1113） gradually losthis due status in his poetic circle and his poetry failed to attract the poetic researchers＂ worthy attention, for which there aretwo reasons-the social reason （closely related to the current literary trends） and the personal reason （his twice entrance intothe examination place in his life and into Bianjing four times）; therefore, in the paper, it is thought that the exploration ofthese reasons is a necessary link for the whole research.
