摘要
欧·亨利在《紫裙》和《绿门》两篇小说中所体现出的公民道德意识对我国的公民道德建设有所启示。小说主人公梅达和鲁道夫身上的善良仁慈、自我牺牲、乐于助人的高尚品格是值得我们每一个公民学习借鉴的。可以说,欧·亨利不仅是世界优秀作家,还是道德文明的传播者。
Viewing the civil morality awareness as a starting point, this paper compares O·Henry＇s two short stories The Purple Dress and The Green Door which have similar themes, analyzing the civil morality awareness embodied in two works. This paper not only reveals the themes and significance of two works but also excavates their moral enlightenment, further affirming their moral education value.
