张謇的图书馆学思想及意义

Library Science and Significance of Zhang Jian

作为近代图书馆事业的先驱者之一,张謇先后撰写了一系列图书馆理论著作,详细阐述了馆址选择、馆内外布局、藏书建设、目录工作、管理工作等方面内容,并创建了南通博物苑和南通图书馆,促进了我国清末民初时期公共图书馆的兴起。张謇的道德品格、责任意识及创业精神值得我们学习。

Being one of the pioneers dedicated to modern library,Zhang Jian had written a series of library theory works on the site selection,layout of both inside and outside,the library books collection construction,catalog work, management and so on.And he also set up the Nantong Museum and the Nantong library.His library ideas and practice had played an important role in promoting the flourishing of public library in the late Qing Dynasty.The moral character,responsibility consciousness and the pioneering spirit of Zhang Jian are worthy of our learning.
