摘要
《琐事》是美国著名剧作家苏珊·格莱斯佩尔的代表作。通过描述一起谋杀案的侦查过程使剧中两性之间形成鲜明的对比。通过文本细读的方式,以一系列的二元对立结构来分析《琐事》中主要的人物形象,探讨男主人公被谋杀的原因,以及剧中女性同胞们"舍弃"法律、竭力掩藏女主人公犯罪证据的根由。
Trifles is the masterpiece of Susan Glaspell. The overwhelming contrasts between woman and man are re- vealed by the author who describes the case of murder. Based on a closed reading of the text, this paper analyzes the different roles to interpret the motive of the murder and explain the cause of women who are trying to whitewash the killing in the view of binary oppositions of structuralism.
