Surviving Needs and Changes of Clan Belongings:Chinesization of Later Generations of the Gold Clan——The Case Study of the Yu Clan of the Yujia Town in Chongqing Wanzhou District

元末明初,南平王铁木健后裔为了躲避明军的追杀,部分成员逃入重庆万州区余家镇,改铁为余,定居于此,繁衍生息;"铁改余"后,余氏族人经过数百年汉风洗礼,目前已汉化,其民族属性已由蒙古族变更为汉族。但作为一个特殊的群体,其集体记忆里他们是黄金家族后裔这一点却从未忘怀。

In the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty,the later generations of Tiemujian, Nanping King, hided in Yujia town and changed the family name as ＂Yu＂ in order to get rid of the chasing and killing from Ming army , settelled down and multiplied from then on .Since changed Tie as Yu, the clan had been gradually Chinesnized after hundreds years of immersing in Han culture, and its Mongolian attribute also had been changed to that of Han. As a particular group, the collective memories about their gold clan has never been forgotten.
