English globalization has brought opportunities as well as challenges to English majors of colleges and universities, and the way to meet the challenges is to reform. It is a new approach to the reform of English majors that local universities in West China are trying to have joint programs of English majors with South Asian universities based on their regional economic weakness and geographical advantage. It is also a positive response to the national strategy of ＂One Belt and One Road＂and has research value and practical significance.
