顺应论视域下看汉诗英译过程中的文化顺应——以陶潜《饮酒(五)》为例

Observation of Cultural Adaptation in the Process of Translating Chinese Poems into English from the Perspective of Adaptation Theory——Taking Tao Qian's Drinking Wine(V) as an Example

诗歌是文化的载体,诗歌翻译体现了不同文化间的交流。汉语诗歌蕴含着深邃的汉语文化,这就要求译者将文化翻译纳入汉诗英译的过程中。语言具有变异性、商讨性和顺应性,语言使用的过程是一个不断选择和顺应的过程,这为汉诗英译提供了一种全新的理论。基于顺应论,本文尝试以陶潜《饮酒(五)》的两个英译本为例,探索汉诗英译过程中的文化顺应。

Poetry is the carrier of culture, and the translation of poetry reflects the communication of different cultures. As Chinese poetry contains profound Chinese culture, translators are required to take cuhural transla- tion into the process of translating Chinese poems into English. Language consists of three properties： variability, negotiability, and adaptability. Language use is a continuous process of selection and adaptation, which provides a revolutionary theory to translating Chinese poems into English. Based on adaptation theory, this paper is trying to probe the cultural adaptation in the process of translating Chinese poems into English, taking two English versions of Tao Qian＇ s Drinking Wine （V） as examples.
