The Role of “Parallel Texts”Analysis in the Study of Applied Translation from a Functional Perspective

应用翻译已越来越成为当今社会人类翻译活动的主流,占据了国内翻译市场的主导地位。在翻译界,很多学者都赞同德国功能主义翻译理论对应用翻译有很好的指导意义。平行文本作为一种重要研究语料,为应用翻译研究提供了译语语言文化参考系,以供对比分析之用,使得研究结论更加客观、准确和有说服力。本文详细介绍了平行文本,并在德国功能主义翻译理论的框架内,系统探讨了平行文本分析在应用翻译研究中的作用。

Nowadays, Applied Translation has increasingly become the main trend. In China, Applied Trans- lation occupies a dominant position of translation market. Scholars are paying more attention to the study of Applied Translation, and many of them agree that German Functionalist Translation Theory can better guide Applied Trans- lation. And ＂parallel texts＂ as important research materials, provide a reference in the target language for the study of Applied Translation. Through comparison analysis of ＂the parallel text＂ , researchers could make their conclu- sions more objective, accurate and convincing. This paper introduces the concept of ＂parallel texts＂, and systemat- ically discusses the role of ＂parallel texts＂ analysis in the study of Applied Translation from a functionalist perspective.
