加速量热仪(Accelerating Rate Calorimeter)是一种计算机控制的绝热式量热仪,区别于其它量热仪,它可以测得高达10g 的固体、液体或气体样品的温度与时间、升温速率与温度、升压速率与温度、活化能、速度常数、指前因子以及在任一温度时达到最大反应速率所需时间。以4-硝基甲苯-2-磺酸为例,说明了仪器在研究化学物质热分解反应中的应用,给出了4-硝基甲苯-2-磺酸的活化能为E=233.9 kJ/mol,指前因子A=4.70×10^(11)s^(-1)。图3和图4分别给出了其反应温度、压力与时间的关系,以及自热速率与温度的关系。
Accelerating Rate Calorimeter(ARC)is a kind of adiabatic calorimeter controlled by computer. Compared with other adiabatic calorimeters,it can be used to measure the temperature, time, self-heating rate, pressure, activation energies, pre-exponen- tial factors and the time to maximum reaction rate at any temperature of exother- mic reaction under adiabatic conditions. The total mounts of samples used in ARC test adds up to 10 grams. In the presented paper,its application is illustrated using the thermal decomposition of 4-nitrotoluene-2-sulfonic acid as an example. The ac- tivation energy of the reaction E=233.9kJ/mol and the pre-exponential factor A= 4.70×10<sup>11</sup>s<sup>-1</sup>are obtained.The curves of temperature vs. time,pressure vs. time, and self-heating rate vs. temperature are shown in Figure 2,Figure 3 and Figure 4 respectively.
