Of Happiness and Benefits

利益是人的行为动力与获得幸福的主要源泉。幸福是对利益的认识及其追求与获得利益的心理体验。幸福之于利益有更深层的价值意义,幸福不是简单的快乐与利益获得,金钱是幸福的基础而不是幸福的全部;幸福之于利益有更现实的道德意蕴,道德追求内涵幸福,且道德对于幸福有着工具性意义;幸福之于利益有更广泛的贡献意蕴,个人利益的实现依赖于利益群体,所以人的幸福只有在利他的道德实践中才能实现利己与幸福。

Benefits to a great extent motivate people to gain happiness. Happiness is not only the understanding and pursuing of interests but the psychological experience. Happiness, rather than benefits, contains greater implications of values, for happiness doesn＇t only mean acquisition of pleasure and interests, and happiness are not entirely dependent on wealth. Happiness rather than benefits contains the implications of realistic moral meaning, for morals means the pursuit of spiritual happiness, and is of instrumental significance to happiness. Happiness instead of benefits implies more contributions, and the realization of the individual＇s interests de- pends on the interests group, therefore, an individual＇s happiness can only be obtained in the altruistic moral practices.
