Taking the flexible overhead contact system of Line 1 of Shenzhen Metro as an example, the paper introduces standards, schemes and construction process for partial replacement of contact wire of overhead contact system with catenary suspension for urban mass transit, summarizes effectively the experiences which provide the reference and technical support for partial replacement of contact wire of overhead contact system.
