Qilu Culture is unquestionably the model(of Chinese civilization with regard to nature and humanity,e Yellow River spurs on its never-ending journey to the sea,nourishing a rich harvest of brilliant cultures such as Beixin,Dagukou and Longshan.Mount Tai of natural and cultural significance has been a place of worship for thousands of years and served as one of the most important ceremonial centers of China.The philosophy of Confucius that emphasized morality,correctness,justice and sincerity has a profound influence on civilizations surpassing the scope of China to the world.Cuju,the earliest form of football,originated as a military exercise and developed to the most popular sport around the world.The canal started from here to create a unprecedented channel of transport and a period of economic prosperity.Enjoying the perfect location for Olympic sailing events,the fishing town has evolved to a cosmopolitan city.All these promoted the 22 nd International Congress of Historical Sciences to open in Shandong.During the Congress,satellite conferences will be arranged in six cities with the support of the International Committee of Historical Sciences,Association of Chinese Historians,relevant provincial and municipal governments to exhibit the connotations of the Qilu Culture and the related cultural deposits.
