摘要 Dear Editor,A major function encoded in plant genome sequences is devoted to defense against pests and pathogens. Among the defenserelated functions in the plant genomes sequenced, there is a group of genes coding for NBS-LRR proteins that have been associated with effector-triggered immunity (Jones and Jones, 1997). The majority of genes responsible for race-specific resistance in plants belong to this family.
