神圣性的精神实质是信仰,它能满足人的超越性,蕴含着深刻的道德意义。神圣性作为道德的原初属性,决定了德育是神圣的活动,现代道德教育现状之所以令人担忧,重要原因之一是道德教育越来越强调其规范性,导致原初神圣性的遗失(其精神实质是信仰危机),要走出这种道德困境,重塑德育神圣性势在必行,针对现代社会败坏德育神圣性的几种文化意识,传统文化资源都能做出积极的回应,因此,传统文化能够成为维护德育尊严、回归德育神圣性的重要资源。

the spiritual substance of the holiness is belief. It satisfies the transcendence of human being , and has the pro- found moral meaning. As the original property of moral, holiness determines the holiness in the education of morality. The lost of holiness is one of the main reason why the current situation of the modern moral education is so worrying. To improve this morality dilemma, it is imperative to return the holiness of moral education. Aiming at some consciousness of the mainstream culture, the traditional culture can always answer back positively. In conclusion, the resource of the traditional culture can be very helpful in protecting the dignity of the moral education , returning the holiness of the moral education.
