当代艺术的多元性，呈现出了不同的风格、不同的观念和不同的价值取向，表现出的是一种精神美学的前卫性。然而，当代艺术如果从作品自身态度和社会传达，以及接受的有效性之层面来追问，就会认识到当代艺术与生活之间存在着一种矛盾关系，它到底在当下的社会认知中起什么作用？本期话题从当代艺术的现象，来讨论艺术发展的自身问题，是带有反思和追问态度的一次讨论。
