The dramatic change of social and historical context of Russia after the disintegration of Soviet Union leads to the re-constructing discourse pattern of contemporary Russian dramatic text and the shift of the artistic concepts of theatrical art. In retrospect, Russian theater has taken an arduous journey mingling setbacks and challenges with struggles and outbursts, which is also the necessary path for contemporary Russian theater back to the world theater.
