Landmark Alliance between Sunning and Allibaba

8月10日那一天，发生在南京“互联网＋零售紫金蜂会”上的一幕，用《大话西游》中的台词，可谓“猜得中开头，猜不中结局”。 上午，李彦宏、王健林与作为主人的张近东分别做主题发言，李、王、张三人很少出现在同一场合，加之此前苏宁云商（002024）就已停牌，难免令人遐想会有重大交易，而且极可能是“苏百万”。

On August 10th.Baidu co-founder Li Yanhong.Wanda Group's Jianlin and Suning's Zhang Jingdong took the stage at the First 'Internet+Retail' Summit in Nanjing to give a speech.The three very rarely appear together,add to that Sunning Commeree Group's previous decision to halt trading of its shares,and so it's understandable why many at the summit were half expeeting some big announcement involving the three companies.By that afternoon everyone had their answer.As it turned out,Suning was not partnering with Baidu and Wanda,but with Alibaba.Alibaba woule make a strategic investment of approximately 28 billion yuan to become Suning's second largest sharcholder,while Suning would purchase no more than 27.8 million of newly issued Alibaba shares for 14 billion yuan.The partnership between Alibaba and Suning is a land-mark transaction of the mobile Internet era.The first sector impacted by this deal may not be jd.com,but the logistics and express delivery sectors.
