What is credit? Normally, it indicates relations of production and society, formed among people, organization and commodities. While credit investiga-tion is an activity that, a professional and individual third-party institute builds up credit profiles for individuals and corporations, recording their credit infor-mation and providing it, pursuant to the law. According to Wang Xiaolei, vice director of Credit Information Center of The People's Bank of China, lenders investigate credit information to manage risks based on their internal information; while credit information institution investigate to provide external information for lenders, including delivering gen-eral reports and customized reports.
