"新乡现象"是新乡先进群体现象的简称,是新乡独有的一大特色。新中国成立以来,新乡市有多人或集体荣获国家级和省市县乡级先进个人或先进基层党组织荣誉称号,新乡先进群体就是对他们的总称。新乡先进个人和先进集体成长速度之快,数量之多,根本原因就在于新乡先进群体牢记党的宗旨,坚定共产主义信念,除此之外,也与新乡市厚重的历史文化因素密不可分。主要表现在:第一,远古神话为"新乡现象"的产生积聚了原始基因;第二,新乡市厚重的历史文化是"新乡现象"产生的历史根源;第三,红色文化和革命传统为先进个人和先进集体的产生提供了不竭动力;第四,黄河文明和太行精神孕育了新乡先进群体的灵魂和性格。

＂Xinxiang phenomenon＂is short for phenomenon of Xinxiang advance group,which is an unique feature to Xinxiang.Preliminary statistics,there are 163 people in total that have won the national title of honor since the founding of new China.In addition to the agricultural front,there are more than 1000 people who become the advanced figures or advanced grass-roots organization in provinces and city and township level.Xinxiang advanced group is the floorboard of them.Xinxiang advanced typical characters are growing fast,whose number is so large that it forms a group.Although there are a lot of political factors,the long historical and cultural factors are inseparable.Main show is as follows：1.The ancient myth of Xinxiang have generated the original gene to the contemporary＂Xinxiang phenomenon＂;2.The history and culture of Xinxiang city become the main cause of contemporary＂Xinxiang phenomenon＂;3.The Red culture formation of the revolutionary tradition directly leads to the advanced group leader——Shi Laihe.4.The Yellow River civilization and spirit bred the soul and character of Xinxiang advanced group.
