浅谈地方高校图书馆的期刊管理

期刊是指有固定名称、每期版式基本相同、定期或不定期的连续出版物。期刊文献是现代社会信息的重要来源,是高校教学科研的重要参考,是地方高校服务社会经济发展的重要平台。当前地方高校图书馆的期刊管理存在管理手段落后、信息化程度不高,流通渠道较窄、期刊使用率偏低,管理模式陈旧、馆藏与读者需求脱节,管理人员素质不齐,服务水平不高等问题。完善地方高校图书馆的期刊管理,我们要适应时代潮流,完善期刊文献结构;改进检索系统,提高期刊利用率;规范借阅意识,增强读者责任感;建设管理队伍,提升服务质量与水平。

The periodical is a continuous publication with fixed name, each format is basically the same and a regular or irregular basis. The periodical literature is the important source of social information, is the important ref- erence value of university teaching and scientific research, is the important platform of local colleges and universi- ties serving the social economy development. The current periodical management of local colleges and universities have the problems still exist such as the backward on management tool, the informatization level is not high, the circulation channels is narrow, the periodical utilization rate is low, the pattern of management falls behind, the li- brary collection and reader demand apart, the quality of management personnel is uneven and the service level is not high. Perfecting the periodical management of local colleges and universities, we should adapt to the trend of times, optimize the structure of periodical literature, improve the retrieval system, improve the utilization efficiency of periodical literature, standard the borrowing and reading consciousness, strengthen the readers＂ sense of responsibility, build the management team and improve the service quality and level.
