A Study on Onomatopoeic and Mimicry Words and Their Translations

拟声拟态词丰富是日语的一大特色,也是重要的日语词汇,但离不开汉语对其产生的影响。恰当地运用这类词汇可使日语大大增色,了解汉语象声词及大量表示状态的形容词的构成,对提升日译汉水平有很大帮助。本文从概念、来源、特点、作用等方面入手,通过大量的例证对拟声拟态词进行了较全面阐述。同时,根据自己多年的教学与翻译经验,归纳总结了拟声拟态词在日译汉时的翻译规则和技巧,以期能为广大日语学习者提供一定的参考。

An outstanding feature of Japanese is its rich onomatopoeic and mimicry words, which form an important part of Japanese vocabulary and are greatly influenced by Chinese. Using them properly makes the language vivid. Knowing the formation of Chinese Onomatopoeic words and static adjectives can help improve Japanese-Chinese translation. This paper studies onomatopoeic and mimicry words by using varied cases through the basic concepts, origins, characteristics and functions. At the same time, the author generalizes the Japanese-Chinese translation rules and skills for these words through many years＇ teaching and translation experience and hope that it can provide reference for Japanese learners.
