《大学》与《中庸》原本都是《礼记》中的篇章,宋儒朱熹编《四书集注》中,《大学》《中庸》与《论语》《孟子》一起被合为"四书"。《大学》是一种"外显"的学问,显示出"外王"的特征;《中庸》则是一种"内隐"的学问,显示出"内圣"的特征。它们都具有一种人心即天心、人道即天道的心性哲学的特点,因而它们在儒学史上具有着重要地位。

The Daxue and the Golden Mean are the parts of the book of Rites. ZHU Xi, a famous Confucianism scholar in Song Dynasty, edits the Collected Commentaries Four Books. Daxue, the Golden Mean are called the Four Books with the Confucius Quotations and Mengzi. Daxue is about the scholarship of ruling and has a king feature;The Golden Mean is about the scholarship of cultivating and shows the feature of going to holy. But they also have the heart philosophy feature,that is,a man＇s heart is the nature＇s heart and the Dao of man is the Dao of the nature.
